Forensic Products and Consumables
The Danish National Police is currently in the preparation phase for a tender regarding forensic products and consumables. As part of the preparation for a future tender, the Danish National Police will like to invite potential contractors to provide input to parts of the preliminary material. The tender is expected to include forensic products and consumables primarily used to secure evidence in relation to crime scene investigations and for laboratories and institutions examinations. The products will be used to store, develop and secure evidence that can be used in investigations, such that it is not ruined or contaminated.
The Danish National Police currently envisions one tender with the following four lots:
Lot 1: Evidence preservation;
Lot 2: Consumables and protective equipment;
Lot 3: Chemistry;
Lot 4: Procedure packages.
Please note that this prior information notice concerns a request for information and is not a call for tenders. For further instructions, please see section VI.3).
Evidence Preservation
The products included in Lot 1 — Evidence preservation are used for securing evidence from crime scene investigations and for the collection of evidence from effects that subsequently will be examined at laboratories and institutions. The purpose is, to the greatest possible extent, to store and secure evidence that will/can be used in investigations, such that it is not ruined or contaminated.
Consumables and Protective Equipment
The products included in Lot 2 — Consumables and protective equipment are used in connection with the securing of evidence at crime scene examinations, including in connection with collection, and storage/transport of effects. In addition, the products are used in connection with the securing of evidence in laboratories. The purpose is, to the greatest possible extent, to store and secure evidence that will/can be used in investigations, such that it is not ruined or contaminated.
Chemistry
The products included in Lot 3 — Chemistry are used for evidence development at crime scenes as well as for development of evidence on effects, which will be examined in laboratories.
Procedure Packages
The products/kits included in lot 4 Procedure packages are used for securing evidence from personal examinations, crime scene investigations and for the collection of evidence from effects that subsequently will be examined at laboratories and institutions.
This lot concerns delivery of completely packed procedure packages with specified items.

Section VI: Complementary information
The purpose of this RFI is to understand how the best possible tender and material can be arranged, including prevent inexpedient requirements. Potential contractors are therefore invited to review and comment parts of the preliminary draft material made available at Mercell Sourcing Services. Input can be provided to one or more lots.

The Danish National Police does currently not expect to conduct meetings in relation to this request for information. However, if further information is deemed relevant or clarification of the received inputs and comments are needed, we reserve the right to follow up which could be in writing or by meetings.
It shall be noted that the Danish National Police is free to choose whether and to what extent the information provided during this RFI will be included in a future tender. The material and information available for this RFI are solely preliminary drafts and thoughts, thus the Danish National Police reserves the right to make adjustments to all the information and material prior to a future tender.
We will like to emphasize that this notice is not a call for tenders and submission of input in will not be required for participation in a future call for tenders. This prior information notice is solely to inform interested contractors of the possibility to provide input.
